CHILDREN

Because Jesus is the center of everything we do, we want to use curriculum that teaches about Jesus in every lesson. We are currently using The Gospel Project. Two times a month, there is live worship for the kids that is Jesus-centered and engaging. You can find a list of the songs your kids are singing by checking out our Spotify playlist! We also send lesson guides home each week to encourage family dialogue and engagement with your kids. A few times a year, we will host kids and family events to foster community and make memories.

Our children’s ministry is age-graded and breaks down as follows:

  • 0-1 are in the Nursery
  • 2-3 are in our Tots class
  • 4-5 are in our Mini’s class
  • 6 years to 5th Grade are in our Kids Class

We would love for your older children to worship with us in the main service during the first two songs, before they go to class. We also encourage parents to utilize our family discipleship resources below to engage with their children about Jesus at age-appropriate levels throughout the week.

YOUTH

We do not have a traditional youth ministry, but we do get together regularly for spiritual gatherings and fun events. We also encourage youth to be fully involved in the life of the body. Youth can serve, participate in Community Group, and attend any special event we host. To find out when the next youth gathering is, email Tanner House at thouse@redemptiontx.org.

FAMILY DISCIPLESHIP

We believe that God has designed parents to be the primary disciplers of their children.  Deuteronomy 6:5-7 says, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.

In the New Testament, Paul instructs parents to bring up their children in the training and instruction of the Lord (Eph. 6).  Therefore, it is the job of the church not to usurp parents, but to support and equip them in this role.  The following resources are generously provided by The Village Church to aid you in that calling.
